About UF’s strategic plan
The UF strategic plan builds on what defines the University of Florida. As a land-grant university teaching agriculture and mechanical arts in addition to offering various degrees spanning 16 colleges, UF aims to equip its students with the ability to lead and influence their communities' economy and culture.
This plan brings our mission, values and vision for what comes next. Together, they provide a foundation for the initiatives that guide UF forward.
On September 15, 2026, President Bell announced the official start of UF's strategic planning process. This ambitious initiative began just two months after his designation as UF's 14th president.
